It is a city steeped in history where one can explore beautiful gardens, shop in 300 year old shops, cross ancient bridges and in the next step be surrounded by skyscrapers clad in bright neon lights and teenagers in crazy fashion-forward outfits.

If you are a foodie but do not want to do our full food tour we can combine foodie elements into your Customised Tokyo Private Tour, ensuring that you still get a wonderful mouthwatering taste of Japan. If you would like to pick up some souvenirs en route we can show you our favorite shops. Perhaps you are a photographer and would like to visit the most photogenic locations. Or an architect with an interest in visiting the cities finest contemporary buildings. Whatever it is we will ensure that your customized tour is exactly what you are looking for.

We are very experienced in designing and delivering tours for couples, families with teenagers, families with young children, business travellers who have a short amount of time between meetings, the over 60s and corporate incentive trips. We also work with several universities in the US, Europe and Australia to provide educational student tours.

If you have not been to Tokyo before and have no preferences we will give you a comprehensive Tokyo private tour. We will focus on combining touristic highlights with local neighbourhoods and throw in a good mix of history, culture and food.

We do accept last-minute bookings so if you are already in Tokyo please do contact us for our availability. Tours can be booked online up to 18 hours before the desired start time.

This private tour of Tokyo is just for you and your friends/family. No one else will join your tour. You can bring a maximum of 14 people on your tour. For numbers over 8 people (12 years of age and above) please add US$44 per person. Children aged 11 years and under are free of charge. Prices do not include entrance fees (if any) or any food/drinks which you choose to buy during your tour. Our tours are walking tours and we make use of the world-class public transportation system to travel around. Prices do not include the costs of transport. You will need to buy a subway pass on the day. We do also offer car tours for those wishing to travel by private vehicle - please contact us for a quote. Please note that there is a 4.8% credit card processing fee.

When you book your tour you will answer a number of questions about your interests and what you hope to get out of your tour. We will then use your answers to design a tour specifically for you.

We cover the following topics on every tour, how much detail we go into depends on how interested you are in each topic: History (Emperors and Shoguns), WW2 History, Politics, Current Affairs, The Day To Day Life Of A Salary Man, Housing, Religion, Education, Food, Architecture, Language.

STARTING POINT: We will pick you up at your hotel or if you have other plans before the tour we will come and meet you somewhere.

FINISHING POINT: We can take you back to your hotel or if you have something else planned we can drop you off where you need to be.
